TN Direct Admissions - Check your email & mail!

TN Direct Admissions is a program that allows eligible Tennessee high school seniors to be automatically accepted to certain Tennessee colleges, trade schools, and universities based on their academic records, without having to complete the traditional admissions application for those schools.
This means you may receive a letter or email letting you know that you have already been accepted to one or more colleges! This does not mean you have to attend that college. It simply gives you more options as you plan for life after high school.

DIDN’T RECEIVE A LETTER OR EMAIL?
Stop by the Guidance Office! There could be an error with your account or student information that needs to be checked. We want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to receive their TN Direct Admissions notifications!

What do you need to do?
  • Check your email regularly, including your spam or junk folder.
  • Check your mailbox at home for letters from Tennessee colleges and universities.
  • Read your notifications carefully to see which schools have accepted you and whether you need to take any additional steps.
  • Remember that you will still need to complete any remaining requirements, such as submitting financial aid forms or accepting an offer, depending on the college.
Seniors, this is a great opportunity to explore your college options and see where you may already have a place waiting for you!

THE FAFSA IS OPEN!

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) helps students apply for federal financial aid to pay for college. The FAFSA typically opens on October 1 each year.

Need help completing the FAFSA? Stop by the Guidance Office, and we can help you complete the student section!
If you choose to complete it at home, you will need to create an account and make sure you are completing the 2027–2028 FAFSA form. Be sure to enter your information carefully and ask for help if you have any questions!

IMPORTANT FOR SENIORS: You MUST complete the FAFSA by April 1 to be eligible for Tennessee Promise! This is a required step, so please do not put it off! Even if you are unsure whether you will need financial aid, you still need to complete the application to meet the Tennessee Promise requirement.
Our school will offer FAFSA Help Nights to help seniors and their families complete the application and answer any questions. More information about these dates will be shared soon.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU COMPLETE THE FAFSA BY APRIL 1! This is a very important step in keeping your Tennessee Promise scholarship opportunity.

UT Promise Scholarship - Due Dec. 15, 2026

UT Promise is a last-dollar scholarship available to Tennessee high school students who attend a UT campus and meet the $75,000 income threshold.

  • UT Promise only covers tuition and mandatory fees. Mandatory fees include facilities fee, maintenance fee, library fee, student services fee, technology fee, transportation fee, etc. Visit your campus’ website for more information.
  • Students will still be responsible for covering any costs beyond tuition and fees such as book expenses and food/housing; however, excess UT Promise funds can be applied to these additional educational expenses until they run out. Once excess funds have been applied, the student is responsible for the remaining educational costs (e.g. remaining cost of food/housing, transportation, course materials, etc.).

For more information on campus admittance, financial eligibility, covered mandatory fees and financial aid or scholarships (such as HOPE, Pell grants, institutional scholarships, etc.), visit the financial aid offices for the campuses below!
